The European Women's Championship in Kazan is finished. It was a championship full of success and full of emotions, thanks to the interesting matches and a good organization. Fabulous performance of Turkey, who brings home one silver and three bronze medals.

Team

Triumph of the Italian National Team

 

In the category "Team" Italy wins with the formation Aguzzi, Corti, Luccarini and Morano.


After a thrilling final Italy had beaten Switzerland 2-0 (12:10, 12:5) and thus wins the title of European Champion 2011. The Swiss (Recalcati Franceschini, Bettinelli and Giamboni), which had beaten in the semifinals Turkey2 2-1, won the silver medal.
 

In the final for the third place, the two teams of Turkey met each other. Turkey 2 was better,beatingTurkey 1 with 2-0 (12:8, 12:8).

Single

The gold for Milly Recalcati

 

In the Individual Championship gold medal goes to the athlete from Switzerland, Milly Recalcati, who won all matches.

In the semifinals wins Turkey with 12:9 and won the ticket for the grand finale, where beats Andrew Steininger from Austria without problems with the result 12:2.

Do not forget the fact that the athlete from Austria had beaten in the seminals surprisingly Sefora Corti (Italy) with 12:11.

 

Italy loses again and wins only a fourth place, without being able to get on the podium. The bronze medal goes back to Turkey. This time Geridonmez Seda won it, even in the last World Individual Championships in Rome, had reached a stunning third place.

U23

 

Gold again for Italy, silver for Turkey

 

The gold for the Italian National Team in the first European Individual Championship U23. In a thrilling final beats Maria Losorbo Esile Emen (Turkey 1) with 12:2 and assures the first gold medal in the category U23.

The bronze medal goes to Merve Timur, Turkey 2. The Turkish player wins the match for the third place with 12:10 against Laura Rice from Switzerland.
